The redevelopment of the Irish Life headquarters on Abbey Street in Dublin represents a major transformation of one of the city's established commercial campuses. The project involved the refurbishment, extension and redevelopment of the existing buildings, creating a contemporary workplace designed around collaboration, wellbeing and connectivity.
XO Tile supplied a substantial tile specification for the project, working alongside MCA Architects and Walls Construction to deliver carefully selected surfaces throughout the newly redeveloped headquarters. The extensive redevelopment includes new workplace areas, meeting and training spaces, hospitality facilities, gardens and terraces, together with a striking central atrium that connects the different levels of the campus.
The project features Boost White, selected for its clean, contemporary appearance and stone-inspired character. The neutral surface provides a refined architectural backdrop within the modern workplace, complementing the wider palette of materials used throughout the headquarters.
Boost Pro Clay was also incorporated into the specification, introducing additional texture and tonal variation while providing suitable technical performance for different areas of the development.
The combination of these materials creates a balanced palette, using softer neutral tones alongside more tactile finishes to complement the contemporary architectural language of the refurbished campus.
The completed Irish Life headquarters provides a modern, people-focused workplace while retaining and transforming the existing campus in the heart of Dublin..
With the redevelopment delivering more than 26,000 m² of workspace and amenities, the project demonstrates XO Tile's ability to contribute to large and technically complex commercial developments, from material selection through to the delivery of a carefully coordinated tile specification.
