The Distillers Building in Dublin is a contemporary commercial development combining modern workplace design with a carefully considered palette of natural stone, porcelain and specialist tiling systems.

XO Tile supplied a range of materials and technical products throughout the project, with different finishes and formats selected for the reception, toilet and floor areas. The specification was complemented by a range of Schlüter systems, providing both practical performance and carefully detailed finishes across the installation.

The reception areas feature a combination of Portuguese limestone and Zimbabwe granite, installed in a variety of formats to create a sophisticated and distinctive entrance environment.

The Portuguese limestone introduces warmth and natural variation, while Zimbabwe granite provides a contrasting material with a deeper, more substantial character. Together, the two natural stones create a refined material palette that complements the contemporary architecture of the building.

In the toilet areas, MEK Light from Atlas Concorde was specified in a 300 × 600 mm format, alongside MEK Light Mosaico Diamond, introducing additional texture and pattern to the smaller spaces.

For the floors, Ceppo De Gre from Marazzi's Mystone collection provides a stone-inspired finish that complements the natural materials used elsewhere in the project. The tiling was carried out by All-Star Tiling, with careful installation helping to achieve the quality and precision required across the different materials and formats.

A significant part of the technical specification was the use of Schlüter systems throughout the project. XO Tile supplied SCHIENE and INDEC profiles in polished chrome, alongside DECO-SG and DILEX stainless-steel expansion joints.

These Schlüter systems provide clean, precise transitions and movement solutions while maintaining the quality and visual consistency of the finished surfaces. The use of polished chrome profiles also adds a refined detail where tiled surfaces meet adjoining materials.

The completed Distillers Building brings together natural stone, contemporary porcelain and specialist Schlüter systems to create a sophisticated and carefully detailed commercial environment. The project showcases XO Tile's ability to supply not only the primary tile and natural stone materials, but also the specialist installation systems required to achieve a high-quality commercial finish.
