Located in the heart of Dublin, The Hat Maker Hotel is a contemporary hospitality destination designed to combine boutique character with refined interior detailing and rich material finishes. The project balances modern elegance with playful texture and colour, creating guest spaces that feel warm, distinctive and carefully curated throughout.
A key feature within the bathroom interiors is the use of Mestizaje Aqua across the backsplash and shower areas. Selected for its rich pattern and handcrafted aesthetic, the surface introduces depth, texture and personality to the spaces while complementing the contemporary design language of the hotel. The layered detailing and tonal variation within the tile create visual interest throughout the bathrooms, adding a sense of individuality and warmth to the interiors.
The Mestizaje Aqua surface works in contrast with the cleaner architectural lines and softer finishes used throughout the bathrooms, creating a balanced and refined aesthetic that feels both contemporary and characterful. Applied across feature areas within the showers and vanity spaces, the tile helps define the bathrooms while contributing to the boutique atmosphere of the hotel.
Within the communal sitting areas, Lume Turquoise was incorporated as a feature wall finish, introducing a vibrant and textured element to the interior spaces. The rich turquoise tones and glossy handcrafted appearance bring warmth, colour and reflection throughout the seating areas, enhancing the atmosphere while creating a striking visual focal point within the hotel.
