Kodak London has been reimagined as a bold new destination, blending the spirit of its industrial heritage with a contemporary vision of design and innovation. Once a symbol of photographic progress, the building now enters a new chapter as a modern workspace—one that reflects creativity, adaptability, and enduring quality.
Tasked with revitalising this landmark, the design team sought to honour its history while creating interiors that are forward-looking and functional. The approach was to craft spaces that speak to both legacy and ambition—celebrating the building’s iconic identity while adapting it to the needs of a new generation of businesses and creators.
To achieve this, XO Tile supplied a refined selection of surfaces that strike a balance between authenticity and modern sophistication. Floodston, with its sleek stone-effect finish, was chosen to ground the design in timeless materiality. Its bold yet understated surface delivers durability without compromising on aesthetic, making it ideal for high-traffic communal areas where performance and elegance must coexist.
Adding warmth and crafted detail, Lume tiles introduce subtle tonal shifts and glossy finishes that play with light, giving texture and vibrancy to interior walls. Their artisanal quality reflects the creative energy of the Kodak legacy, infusing the spaces with depth and dynamism.
KitKat mosaics were employed as feature accents, their linear rhythm creating movement and visual interest. These tactile surfaces provide a contrast to larger porcelain formats, marking out key architectural moments with refinement and character.
Together, these materials have transformed the Kodak London Building into a workspace that celebrates both history and modernity. The result is an environment that not only performs at the highest level but also inspires—an interior that embodies resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of place. With XO Tile at its core, the Kodak London Building stands as a redefined landmark where design, heritage, and innovation meet.
