Douglas Wallace Consultants were appointed to reposition Galgorm as a destination resort hotel through the expansion of its facilities and the creation of Ireland’s unique thermal village with additional bedrooms and dining offerings.
In order to ensure high standards in all aspects of the structure, XO Tile porcelain stoneware was chosen to decorate indoor and outdoor spaces, giving each one its own personality.
Brilliance and aesthetic luxury make their entry in the suites' bathrooms thanks to Marvel PRO Travertino Alabastrino that decorates the walls and the floors of the washrooms. Enveloped in the warmth of an instantly recognisable hue, the 300x600mm format reveals all the class of a porcelain collection that reconfirms the high aesthetic and technical value of products Made in Italy.
The famed Thermal Spa Village, the first of its kind in Ireland, is the jewel in the crown of Galgorm. Inspired by the understated beauty of the landscape, natural wood and a palette of hues inspired by nature piece together in harmony to deliver a feeling of restfulness and calm. Marvel PRO Statuario Select 20mm was installed throughout this area. Statuario Select interprets the natural material with striking realism and for this reason was selected for the main facility's outdoor walkway in the 600x600mm format. Having to deal with high foot traffic and a relentless relative humidity, MARVEL PRO was ideal for this outdoor space that required a high level of technical performance.
The 20 metre indoor leisure pool is surrounded by a polished pebble floor to gently massage the pressure points in your feet, assisting blood flow and easing tensions. Our stunning glass mosaic adorns the pool walls and floor and adds a sophisticated elemental look that is both contemporary and timeless.
