This mixed-use office development on the former Distillers Building site in Smithfield is a contemporary commercial project designed to bring together modern workplace functionality with refined architectural detailing and natural material finishes. Located within one of Dublin’s most evolving commercial districts, the development combines clean contemporary design with a warm and sophisticated interior aesthetic.

A natural stone surface plays a central role throughout the project, introducing depth, texture and subtle tonal variation across the interior spaces. Selected for its organic character and timeless appeal, the stone complements the contemporary architecture of the building while softening the overall aesthetic of the workspace. Its natural movement and understated finish create a calm and refined atmosphere throughout.

The interaction between natural light and the stone surfaces enhances the openness of the interior, bringing warmth and visual balance to key areas within the development. The neutral palette integrates seamlessly within the wider material scheme, reinforcing the relationship between modern detailing and natural textures.

Applied across feature surfaces throughout the project, the stone was chosen not only for its visual quality but also for its durability and lasting elegance. The material contributes to a workspace that feels sophisticated yet restrained, creating an environment that is both contemporary and welcoming.

Careful attention to craftsmanship and detail ensures cohesion throughout the interior, with each finish selected to complement the wider architectural vision of the project. The result is a refined commercial development where natural materials and contemporary design come together to create an elegant and enduring workspace.
